Manpreet grew up in India and moved to Canada in 1988. She has a diploma in print Journalism from the London School of Journalism and has done credit courses in Broadcasting from British Columbia Institute of Technology. While working for Archway she started contributing articles to the Abbotsford News and Times and hosting a show for the local Rogers network
She moved on to write a regular column for the sun and then contributed to both the Vancouver Sun and the Province. She also pursued Broadcasting, hosting a live TV show for channel M and made regular contributions to CBC radio. She feels privileged that the issues she was exposed to in her other work at Archway and other organizations could be shared with the wider audiences of her readers and viewers.
This Journal is owned by Manpreet Grewal an experienced freelance Journalist skilled in interviewing, editing, broadcasting and opinion writing. She also has a robust career in senior management and governance in social services/corporate and health sector. .
This Journal is a continuation of her journey of life. She feels that people like reading as well as sharing their own stories in an authentic way. People get tired of watching the pendulum swing from left to right when all they want is to keep life simple and meaningful.
Manpreet’s hope for this Journal is to keep it real for people so that the stories resonate to their everyday life and their own dreams and aspirations. In the next phase, she hopes to invite other contributors who also can add to the conversation and provoke thoughts and ideas which can catch the pendulum at the mid point.
